Located at 213 west 53rd street, and just off Broadway (right next to the Ed Sullivan Theatre) is the Hello Deli. The deli’s fame came on September 20th of 1993, when David Letterman from the Late Show invited the deli’s owner, Rupert Jee onto the show as part of the “meet the neighbors” segment.

The menu contains a variety of soups, sandwiches and salads, including specialty sandwiches named after famous visitors to the deli, such as the David Letterman, Jill Letterman, and Paul Shaffer sandwiches.

Some of the more famous visitors have included Mary Tyler Moore, Kelsey Grammer, and various cast members from the Late Show.
