A common Japanese idiom: "sleeping early and waking up early saves you 3 mon (ancient currency)."

In ancient Japan, a clean up fee of 3 mon per dead body found was charged. If one wakes up early enough and unfortunately finds a dead body deposited infront of their house, they can take it to their neighbor's door, saving 3 mon.

The moral: a good sleeping pattern can be beneficial in unexpected ways.
