The Hartnett was an Australian car designed in the late forties and built in the early fifties.
It was developed by Sir Lawrence Hartnett, who left his position as General Manager of Holden in 1947 to construct a truly 'Australian' car.
The car's design was by Jean Gregoire, whom Hartnett had met whilst in Europe.
The car itself is frightfully small, and not overly attractive. Only 125 of them were built before the company went broke due to supply problems.
There is one in the Birdwood museum in Adelaide and one is in the Scienceworks museum in Melbourne.
