An extremely talented Australian soccer player for the English Premier League club Leeds United. Born in Sydney in 1978, at the age of 15 he and friend Brett Emerton (who is now also emerging on the world stage) travelled to Britain for trials with Leeds, each was offered a contract. Kewell was able to accept the offer to play with the club due to being able to gain citizenship due to his father being English, Emerton was not so lucky.
He made his debut for Leeds in the 1995-96 season and since then has rapidly risen to become one of the most excting talents to play for Australia. Harry generally plays on the left wing but has also been deployed as a striker from time to time. He is at his best running at defenders where his pace and flair can turn a game on its head
