After
the Galactic Hacker Party,
Hack-Tic was back with
Hacking at the End of the Universe, or in short
HEU. From
August 4 till
August 6,
1993 hackers,
phone phreaks,
programmers,
computer haters,
data travellers,
electro-wizards,
networkers,
hardware freaks,
techno-anarchists,
communications junkies,
cyberpunks,
system managers,
stupid users,
paranoid androids,
Unix gurus,
whizz kids,
warez dudes,
law enforcement officers (in
appropriate undercover dress ),
guerilla heating engineers and other
assorted bald,
long-haired and/or
unshaven scum were invited at the
Larsersbos Campground in
Holland for this special
Summer Congress.
One big thing to remember here is the startup of the Dutch Internet Service Provider XS4all, which is now ironically bought by KPN.
This congress was once again a big success and 4 years later, Hacking In Progress, or in short HIP or HIP97 was organised!
