A perfume company founded in 1828 by a perfume and vinegar maker named Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain. Since its inception Guerlain has created over 626 fragrances, among them one of the world's most famous, Shalimar.

Inspired by the love story that built the Taj Mahal, that of Sha Jehan for his wife Mumtaz-Mahal, Shalimar is named for the place where they had their first interlude, the Shalimar Gardens.

Other popular and well known Guerlain fragrances include: Samsara, Champs-Elysees and Vetiver.
