Scottish slang. Has two meaning, dependent on context
1.
to inflict a heavy defeat, usually in a sporting context
i.e. "Yet again Aberdeen were gubbed by Celtic."
2.
to punch someone in the face, usually in a drink or violence related context
i.e. "Say that again pal and I'll gub you."
