Groove Collective is another one of those bands lumped into the recently coined "acid jazz" genre. Basically, what this means is that they have a sort of jazz, funk and hip-hop sound. They also have a large, diversely instrumented band. 10 musicians play everything from the timbales and kalimba to the fluglehorn and vibes.

And they put it together nicely. In fact, especially with the nice grooves they have running through every song, it sort of has The Barry White Effect.

One of their better albums is Dance Of The Drunken Master.
