Greasy Spoon

Any restaurant whose numerous defects are not only accepted, but expected, because the food is dirt cheap. Everything in this type of establishment is bathed in grease- the food, the dishes, the decor, the staff. Food is prepared in one of two ways: fried or deep fried. The service sucks, the coffee is thick, and complimentary health code violations are included with each purchase.

There are four main reasons to eat at a greasy spoon:

1. You are drunk.
2. You are a masochist.
3. It is the only restaurant in this one horse town.
4. That stuff growing in your own kitchen is far more dangerous.
