(Perisoreus canadensis) A very friendly bird, native to Canada and the Northwestern United States. 10-13", Gray body, black wings, eye stripe, and beak. Also known as "Canada Jay," "Whiskey Jack," and "Camp Robber." A very smart bird, it is known to store meat, suet, or hide, gluing it into balls with saliva and hiding the balls among conifer needles. This bird can be found at many high mountain tourist spots, and will sit on your head while you feed it.
