Goldie Hawn was born on November 21, 1945 in Silver Spring, MD to Edward and Laura Hawn, a dance hall owner and a jewelry wholesaler. Goldie began dancing at the age of three and at ten danced in the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo's Nutcracker chorus. After high school, Hawn went to American University in Washington DC while running her own ballet school. Two years later sher would head north to New York City to pursue acting and dancing seriously. Goldie would dance wherever she could. She appeared in the Texas Pavilion at the 1964 World's Fair, numerous clubs and musical choruses. During an Andy Griffith Television special in 1967, Producers from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In thought they saw something special, and hired Goldie Hawn as a regular. Hawn played a "deeply joyful blonde," meaning she giggled a lot. The role earned Goldie an Emmy Award.

In 1969 Goldie appeared in the comedy Cactus Flower, as Toni Simmons. In the film, Simmons falls for a dentist who tells women that he has a wife and kids to avoid getting involved. Hilarity ensues. Goldie won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar and Golden Globe for her work in the movie. Goldie would go on to star in several films including Bird On A Wire, Swing Shift, Death Becomes Her, and The First Wives Club.

In 1969 Goldie Hawn tied the knot with actor/comedian/singer Gus Trikonis. The marriage would last until 1976, when the two split ways. In 1976 she would remarry and wed actor Bill Hudson. Goldie and Bill would have two children, Oliver, born in 1976, and Kate, born in 1977. In 1980, the couple would divorce. Currently, Goldie is living with the father of her third child, Kurt Russell. The two, while not married, live together as common-law spouses, which means they're married, they live together, but they had no fancy shamncy ceremony, I believe. The pair have a son together called Wyatt Russell, who was born on July 10, 1986.

In 1992, Goldie Hawn took a break from acting to spend time with and care for her sick mother. Goldie's mother passed away in 1994.
