The mother of all
right-wing conspiracies, God's Lightning is a fictitious organization from the novel
Illuminatus!. Its founder,
Atlanta Hope, had been a
feminist until some
revelation -- probably her initiation into the
Bavarian Illuminati -- convinced her to study
Heraclitus and start her own
terrorist group.
God's Lightning members are known for wielding large cross-shaped clubs, beating up protestors and hippies, and generally not being terribly nice to anyone who does not accept the truth of Heracleitanism. Despite GL's Illuminati connections, it appears to be generally an agent of chaos in the turbulent world of Illuminatus!
God's Lightning may have ties to the KCUF or other paranoid groups.
