Cliche.

Often used in hokey adventure movies or bad horror movies. One of the characters injures themselves (usually a turned ankle) and falls down while the Good guys are trying to escape the Bad guys/bad thing. As he lays on the ground, writhing in pain, the others look at him, at the danger, then back at him-

he says, with a serious glance-Go on, save yourselves!

They usually don't leave him there, although most of the audience, including yours truly, are screaming-YES! DO!

I often use this phrase when at theme parks or state fairs. After 8 hours of walking, standing in line, and consuming more funnel cakes than one adult should mess with, I often stumble to a bench, and wave the others on:
Go on, save yourselves!.

It hasn't worked yet.
