Kansas City Royals third baseman. Brett played his entire 21 year career for the Royals and was a remarkable hitter in that time frame. In addition to amassing batting titles in three different decades (1976, 1980, and 1990), Brett won the MVP award in 1980 after hitting .390. He was the last player to flirt with the .400 mark so late in the season. Unfortunately, he suffered from hemorrhoids during the post season which hurt him in the World Series that year which the Royals lost to the Phillies. However, he did get his championship ring when the Royals beat the St. Louis Cardinals in 1985. Brett was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999, his first year of eligibility along with Robin Yount and Nolan Ryan.
