Canadian standup comedian and actor. Originally from Alberta, Crawford attended the University of British Columbia, then moved to Toronto. He has been a member of the famous Second City troupe, performed at Montreal's Just For Laughs comedy festival, the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and been a cast member on the WB comedy series "HYPE!". Crawford has also had two seasons of his own television series, "The Gavin Crawford Show", on Canada's Comedy Network.

Crawford is openly gay, and his sexuality often finds its way into his sketch comedy performances and characters; much of his comedy stylings are based on gender stereotypes and skewed re-interpretations thereof. (A favourite performance of mine is a rambling monologue in a "tough-guy", auto-mechanic, stereotypically "macho" persona discussing putting on lipstick in a completely earnest delivery.) He is also damn hilarious.
