Galdhøpiggen is Norway's highest mountain, stretching 2,469 meters above sea level. Due to its easily accessible location in the national park Jotunheimen, it is also the most frequently visited, both by locals and tourists.

There used to be some controversy regarding which peak was the highest; Glittertind or Galdhøpiggen. Glittertind used to be covered by a large perpetual glacier, which made it 3 meters higher - but should that count?

However, in the last few years some of the ice has melted, and Glittertind is now beat by 5 meters.
