Ginungagap, which means the yawn between, in Nordic myth was the primeval void. It existed before everything and was joined by two worlds, Muspell and Niflheim. When glaciers crossed Ginungagap from Niflheim they were melted by the flames of Muspell and formed Ymir, the giant who began creation.

world yawned a void

you should not have believed me
its self bisected

schizophrenic delusion

when we divide
the two sides of the möbius strip

and you believed me

from demiqueer hemispheres
self inverted

you should not have believed me

speculum stretching
exploring fingers

a gasp on the inhale
