Pulp adventure series of the 1930s and 1940s. Unusual in that it took place in World War I, this Popular Publications series chronicled the adventures of America's "master spy" and the greatest fighter pilot in the sky, G-8! He and his sidekicks Nippy Weston and Bull Martin, aided by their British manservant Battle, were the Allies' secret weapon against the nightmare machinations of the Hun. The G-8 stories descrbed a war in which the Allied powers regularly faced zombies, beast men, aliens, and indestructible albino supermen. Chief aong G-8's enemies were mad scientist Herr Doktor Kreuger, metal-masked flying ace Herr Stahlmaske, and the reptilian Herr Grun.
