French pirate, noted for his extreme cruelty. He was sent to the Caribbean as a slave, but escaped and became a pirate captain. He bragged that he never let a prisoner live and was infamous for using torture to extract information from his victims. His cruelty was so notorious that he usually found abandoned Spanish villages when he came to raid, and his temper was so hot that he often went into a killing rage if anyone crossed him.

He died sometime in the early 1650s. He was so despised that a tribe of Spanish-hating Indians allied with the Spanish to exterminate him and his crew. L'Ollonois was torn limb from limb, and the pieces were tossed into a bonfire.
