Perhaps the oldest tale in the Ulster Cycle, surviving today in several texts. Three warriors are seeking to be named Champion of the realm of King Conchobar, winning all the rights and privileges of a champion. At the center of the tale is Bricriu, who seeks to engender disharmony through trickery.
