A baseball term, for a player every scout looks for. A player who can: hit for a high batting average, hit for power (home runs), run (i.e. steal bases), field his position immaculately, and throw well. Usually applied to outfielders, since the ability to throw for distance and accuracy is paramount for a right fielder - it keeps baserunners from taking liberties, e.g., going from first base to third on a routine base hit. Roberto Clemente is the patron saint.
