Ferals - (noun) a sub-urban TRIBE.

Habitat: Usually hippie towns and universities. Also may be found in remote camping grounds. Most feminist households keep one or two for security.

Diet: Organic vegetables, yoghurt and marijuana.

Appearance: Bare feet, dreadlocks, dirty faces and ovine smell; not to be confused with hippies, the homeless or grunge leftovers.

Related speces: Closely related to hippies, folk singers and true communists.

Religion: Universal credo is environmentalist (super-genre 'Green') Generally practice some form of either paganism, Buddhism or Hinduism, although gaialogists and cult members have also been classed.

Interesting note: Extreme Protestants (eg. Amish, Mennonites) followed a similar path to ferals' close-to-the-earth ideology, but evolved into a startingly different species.
