Montreal's MLB team, founded 1969, named for the "Expo '67" World's Fair. A success at first, with players like Coco Laboy and "Le Grand Orange" Rusty Staub (their first star) adopted as homeys. Later stars included Tim Raines and Gary Carter. They left old Parc Jarry for the Stade Olympique, and attendance now rivals the Florida Marlins for Most Abysmal. The Blue Jays stole some of their thunder, the dollar sucks, and only an influx of francophone players will save the franchise. Fat chance.
