In this set of
trick-taking games, the object is to win
exactly the number of tricks that you
bid. This style of game existed in some forms of
Boston (
Piccolo - win exactly one trick) and had some forms of
Skat and
Tarock. The first game that was built entirely on the exact bidding principle was
Oh Hell!. This game was supposably
invented around 1930.
The American game of Spades has some exact bidding idea in it. This idea can be introduced into Point trick games where one tries to predict the number of points that will be taken in tricks. One example of this is Differenzler Jass.
