2 February 2000, or 2/2/2000. not only did it unify America and Europe by showing them that despite their date-recording dissimilarities (mm/dd/yy for America vs dd/mm/yy for Europe) they weren't really so different, but 2/2/0 was the first date in about 1222 years (since 8 August 888) in which all the numerals involved are even.

this is all subjective to the Gregorian calendar, of course. but since that's the one i use, i thought it was pretty neato. :)
