Guitarist in the Manchester beat group Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders - Graham Gouldman wrote their biggest hit, "Groovy Kind of Love"; co-founded Strawberry Studios, which became 10cc HQ - the hit "Neanderthal Man" (credited to Hotlegs) came from early 10cc sound-engineering experiments; part of The Ramones' Pleasant Dreams was done there, as well as Neil Sedaka's comeback LPs (with 10cc). Later played in Paul McCartney's band, circa Give My Regards to Broad Street.
