Movie directed by Steven Spielberg. Based on the novel by JG Ballard. A young English boy residing in Shanghai during World War II with his parents has some interesting experiences when the Japanese invade, chaos results, and he's separated from his family. He meets a bunch of weird characters, gets thrown into an internment camp, and just may have seen the blinding flash of light that was the A-bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
