Eliza Patricia Dushku was born in
Boston, MA on
December 30, 1980. She is the only girl in a four child family. Though raised a
Mormon, she is reportedly not practicing. In several interviews, she lists her passions as
ice hockey and spending time with her brothers, with one of whom she lives. Miss Dushku began acting at the age of ten, and a partial filmography includes:
Soul Survivors 2001
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back 2001
Bring It On 2000
Race the Sun 1996
Bye Bye Love 1995
True Lies 1994
This Boy's Life 1993
And of course, she had the recurring role of Faith on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Miss Dushku's smokey attractiveness and offbeat looks have given her roles that typically call for bad girl performances, usually the mouthy, smart girl who is both dangerous and bitchy.
On a personal note, I spent six months in Ecaudor with one of her older brothers. We had a conversation about her at one point, and of course I knew her from True Lies. At the time, I really didn't think much about it, but now I think I should have scored a meeting somehow. The small personal connection makes me glad her career is going well.
