During a recent argument with a rather rabid feminist friend of mine, I was repeatedly told (by her) that I was in fact a feminist.
I am not a feminist.
It's not so much that I have a problem with feminism. I guess if you use the dictionary definition it's ok. But if feminism really means "Belief in equality of the sexes" then why does it contain the root for female in it?
Nope, I think that the term feminist has to much connotation nowadays. It doesn't have much of anything to do with equality of the sexes, it has to do with advancing the female sex. Very few, if any, feminists concern themselves with those aspects of sexism in which males are the victim.
I don't believe in sexism or racism of any kind, even if it's reverse sexism or racism.
