Done in many foreign films, also a lot in
Anime because it is of course in
Japanese, and when companies are trying to make it break out into the
mainstream they want their audience to be able to understand what is going on. There is the
Subtitled or Dubbed? debate that has raged continuously since people began doing either of these activities, but it hasn't stopped more and more good shows originally in other language dubbed in ours.
Of course it goes the other way, many English shows are dubbed and then shown all over the world.
