Sponge Fight

  • I visit a friend's house in the mountains near Santa Cruz, California. It is such a beautiful home, a custom hand-made job all done in wood, overlooking a big forested valley that leads to a perfect view of the Pacific Ocean. I like the layout as well: the house itself wraps around in a C shape, with the big tiered wooden patio completing the circle. In the center is a swimming pool. After arriving at the party, I join everybody out on the deck and admire the view for a long time. Some of the swimmers have sponges and they start a water fight by throwing them like grenades. I get hit and join in the fun.
