Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce (DOC) is one of the primary divisions of the executive branch of the U.S. federal government. It was spun off of the Department of Commerce and Labor in 1913 and has experienced a steady decline since then, as more and more of its components have been spun off or reallocated to other agencies, most notably the Department of Transportation and Department of State.
