A freenet-like Internet organisation in The Netherlands, founded in 1994, that played a major part in popularizing the Internet in the Netherlands.
Founded by Hacktic (aka XS4ALL), De Balie and a group of individual city-builders, with financial help from the city of Amsterdam.
Provides free (but limited) Internet access; started as a text-only Freenet, then developed several Web-based community systems.
