Day Is Done is a song we used to end every girlscout meeting. The girls would form a human ring, crossing their arms right over left holding hands. With our eyes closed we would softly sing this song. At the end of the song, the girl chosen to start the secret squeeze would pass the squeeze to the first girl who in turn would pass it on to the next. When the starter received it back, she would yell, GOT IT! and the circle would turn to face outward without breaking the chain. It's a nice ritual for ending time well spent together.

DAY IS DONE

Day is done, Gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills,
From the sky; All is well,
Safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky
Gleaming bright, from a-far,
Drawing nigh, Falls the night.
