Irish comedian who can best be described as a somewhat more intellectual version of Benny Hill. His show Dave Allen At Large would feature Allen seated, smoking a cigarette and drinking whiskey, telling pithy stories. Between these segments would be risque skits featuring members of his ensemble cast. Unfortunately, this rather clever show has fallen by the wayside. Paging TV Land.....
