The Daughters of Isabella is a Catholic women's organization that was founded in 1898. It is basically the sister program for the Knights of Columbus. The "D of I," like the "K of C" are interested in helping the community, and basically just being Catholic. The D of I seem to be quite a bit less active than the K of C, and it's my guess that the organization was only formed to give the wives of the Knights something to do. The D of I that was associated with the K of C that was in my city was basically the catering/cleaning group for the K of C functions.
