took place 1st of april 1925, so DR is over 75 years old.
But DR isn't just radio
. DR consists of three radio channels
, P1, P2 and P3 (P stands for Program) and two television channels
: DR1 and DR2.
DR is user financed, that means there are no commercials on DR, which hightens the viewing pleasure considerably!.
P1 broadcasts all kinds of public service programs.
P2 broadcasts classical music
P3 broadcasts popular music and different popular hosted programs, like all other radio channels.
Every hour all three radio
channels broadcast the same news.
DR1 sends public service programs and other popular hosted programs, also at least 3 news blocks every day.
DR2 sends more alternative programs, but also quite a large number of movies.
