A great English banger, the Cumberland sausage is offered for sale across the land in long coils.

This fine example of British Banger Innovation is based on pork, and interestingly, is usually sold by length (good old feet and inches, thank you very much) rather than the commoner metric pardon the pun of weight.

The Cumberland contains, in addition to the finest pork in the Empire, bacon, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and mace. It is frequently served for tea with cabbage and spuds.
