A
term created by
George Bernard Shaw to describe the
religious movement originated by
Paul. In
Shaw's parlance,
Christianity consisted of the
teachings of
Jesus during his lifetime, while
Crosstianity consisted of
Paul's
interpretation of the
meaning of
Jesus'
death.
Unfortunately, Shaw, a Fabian socialist, tended to obscure the usefulness of the distinction he made between the two, by claiming that what Jesus taught was Fabian socialism.
