This struck me as an odd thought once.

Christians, especially Catholics, tend to wear crosses as a symbol of their faith. This is because Jesus died on a cross.

However, since the cross was the implement of his death, don't you think it would be the last thing he would want to see upon returning from the dead?

It's like some Necromancer revives Count Dracula, and the first sight he's greeted with is a cult of his followers, all waving wooden stakes at him.
