Born 18th January 1973 in Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith, West London as Crispian John David Mills; the son of actress Hayley Mills and director Roy Boulting, grandson of actor Sir John Mills.

He played in the band which would after many name-changes become the Kays for a while. After their old lead singer Suan Dismont left, Crispian took his place. After spending some time in india working at a temple in exchange for food and clothing, he returned to england and the Kays, adding more eastern sounds and later, after leaving their record label Gut Records, they changed their name to Kula Shaker.
