Crescent Moon Theater was the name of the original live-action roleplaying troupe in Bellingham, Washington. The troupe mutated into a club at Western Washington University known as SPRAL around 1995. On October 21, 2000 AD, a political schism occurred in the SPRAL hierarchy, and a group of players and storytellers led by Bev Rogers (a founding member of Crescent Moon Theater) and Bjorn Townsend split off and re-founded Crescent Moon Theater as an independant gaming troupe, unconnected with either SPRAL or Western Washington University. Crescent Moon Theater has located a venue in which to hold its games, and has resumed full operation.
