Often referred to as the fifth member of Phish, Chris Kuroda is an extremely talented lighting technician. While most lighting technicians toil in obscurity, Kuroda's artistry with lights has garnered him his own fan club, known as CK5. His reputation depends both on his uncanny sense of timing and on the emotional impact his lights command. For this reason is is considered to be both technically and artistically adept, a very rare combination. When Phish is not on tour, Kuroda has worked the lights for Trey Anastasio's side project Oysterhead and the VH1 My Music Awards, among others.
