Chon-Ji is the Ninth Gup, or white belt,
form of the International
Tae Kwon Do Federation branch of Tae Kwon Do. Shaped like a
cross, the form has 19
movements, and is the first form beginning
students learn. The form features very
basic low-section and middle-side
blocks and mid-section
punches.
Chon-Ji means "Heaven and Earth," or "The Beginning." The term can be interpreted to demonstrate the creation of the world or the beginning of human history. One half of the form represents the Earth, and the other, Heaven.
