Roughly ten years ago one of my neighbors a couple doors up had a couple of their turtles run away. (Yes, turtles...) Our family ended up finding them and returning them.

As thanks, our neighbor baked us some chocolate chocolate mint chip cookies. (One chocolate for the actual cookie, one chocolate for the chips) We were given roughly 15, which were consumed in under 5 minutes easily. We had to have more, so we asked them how they were made.

These are easily the tastiest kind of cookies that I've ever had. The sacred (but very simple) recipe is below.

In a standard mixing bowl, mix:
1 box of Devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup corn oil (or other vegetable oil)
2 eggs

Then add in:
A ten ounce package of mint chips (These are difficult to find now, so you can use regular chocolate chips and then add 1/2 teaspoon of mint extract.)

Use mix to make cookie shaped objects on a baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for until the surface is no longer shiny. (7 to 10 minutes)

You really really must try these. You'll thank me later. (Assuming you make them right)
