Town in Gloucestershire, England, at the south end of the Cotswolds. Dating to the 1100s, Chipping Sodbury seems nevertheless to have a bit of an inferiority complex. One tourism site suggests that tourists in Chipping Sodbury should go to visit Bristol instead, or perhaps Wales.

Perhaps that's because of its amusing name.

Tiefling says that 'chipping' means market, and Sodbury probably means Soð's place. That's a relief.
