Famous Chinese actress. Most recently appeared in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as the Jade Fox. In her youth, she appeared in most of her movies as the beautiful main actress. Now however, as the Chinese saying goes, "As people age, so do pearls turn yellow" (meaning that a beautiful woman, like a pearl, will decrease in value with age), she is relegated to playing the ugly villains in movies.
