Point guard for the NBA's New York Knicks.

Ward starred in basketball and football for Florida State in the early 1990's, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1993 as a quarterback for the Seminole football team. Ward was viewed as too small and not enough of a "pure passer", though, so he went undrafted by the NFL, and therefore chose instead to pursue pro basketball.

As the New York Jets and New York Giants suffered through a string that had them starting QBs like Tom Tupa and Dave Brown, the joke around the country was that Ward, not even playing football professionally, was "the best quarterback in New York."
