Channel 4, the UK televison station recently undertook a poll of the British public to find the favourite films of all time. A list of 100 movies was drawn up by a combination of critics, members of the public and 'industry experts', and the list has a heavy British bias. As with all lists of this kind, their seems to be a number of surprising exclusions.
