A US-based nonprofit organization that serves as a watchdog for issues related to health and food, especially highly processed food and fast food.

CSPI caught fifteen minutes of fame when its executive director called fettuccine alfredo "a heart attack on a plate", but has also worked behind the scenes to curb deceptive advertising and encourage healthy choices on restaurant menus.

The group was formed in 1971 by associates of Ralph Nader, one of whom (Michael Jacobson) is still its executive director.
